Thalasso spa Lepa Vida

 - SEČA -

Open air SPA

Lepa Vida is one of the kinds open air spa in Sečovlje - Salina Nature Park with its surface area of approximately 750ha. The northern part of the Park with still active salt production is called Lera. From the southern part of the Park, called Fontanigge, it is separated by the bed of the Drnica creek.

We choose to visit Lepa Vida spa also because of the promising words from their web site "The pace of modern life is very stressful for our body. Moreover, we are also exposed to daily environmental pollution from the water, air and food, which has a negative effect on our body. If the body is exposed to such influences for longer periods of time, this can lead to the development of diseases. Therefore, we recommend that you relax your body and soul before it is too late."

Salt is a catalyst, it detoxifies, it relaxes you and even helps skin-barrier function. In fact, swimming through saltwater both sterilizes your skin and could lessen the mediators of inflammation.

The benefits for the body and skin

Saltwater pools calm the immune and nervous systems. The calming and detoxifying effects of saltwater pools can support the immune, nervous, and lymphatic systems. In Chinese medicine, salt is considered to be grounding.

Saltwater is also a skin moisturizer and makes the skin soft and smooth, so a number of people use saltwater to treat skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema. Salt draws out impurities, which makes it a great choice for acne-prone skin, as well. After swimming in a saltwater pool, you’ll notice that your skin has the ability to retain moisture.

There are 3 pools with different temperatures of the water in them, therefore you can choose the one that suits you most, so you can spend more time exposing the skin to the seawater.
